GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — The Guilford County Veterans’ Memorial at Country Park in Greensboro was damaged on Thursday.
A large tree fell on the memorial, damaging the flag poles and a bench.
The obelisk in the center of the memorial is still standing. An American flag is wrapped in debris, and another flag is wrapped around a tree branch.
Yellow caution tape has been tied up at the entrance to the memorial.
