Large police presence blocks off part of southwest Charlotte neighborhood

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two police scenes unfolded in a neighborhood in the Steele Creek area of southwest Charlotte on Sunday.

A large police presence could be seen blocking off part of a community between Winget Road and Planters Row Drive beginning around 1 p.m. 

WCNC Charlotte reached out to Medic and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department for more information. 

One scene was located at the intersection of Krislyn Woods Place and Cedar Creek Drive. WCNC’s crew saw police tape and several cruisers surrounding a red sedan with front-end damage.

The second scene was one street over on Planters Row Drive. 

It is unclear whether or not the two scenes are related.
