RALEIGH, N.C. — Vice President Kamala Harris will rally in North Carolina next Thursday.

Harris will campaign in Raleigh on August 8. A time and location won’t be announced until later.

It will be the Vice President’s first visit to our state since President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race.

The president endorsed Harris as the Democrats’ presidential candidate.

The Monday before Harris will be in our state, Democratic delegates are set to begin their role call vote on who will be their party’s presidential nominee. Harris is expected to announce her running-mate on the same day.

Both parties are vying to win the battleground state of North Carolina. In the two previous presidential elections, Trump won the vote in our state, but only by a very close margin.
