WILMINGTON — Ohio blues-rock act The Black Keys performed June 11 at Live Oak Bank Pavilion as part of their 2025 No Rain No Flowers Tour.

The duo Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney rocked the stage with a set covering almost all of their 12 albums, including “Psychotic Girl” and “Tighten Up,” along with two of their upcoming releases, including “The Night Before” and “No Rain, No Flowers.” The band also treated the crowd to a cover of Canned Heat’s “On The Road.”

Childhood friends Auerbach and Carney have been playing their popular version of garage-rock, low-fi sound since 2001. In 2013, the band won their first of five Grammy Awards for their 2010 release, “Brothers,” including Best Alternative Rock Album and Best Performance by a Rock Duo for the track “Tighten Up.” The band has also won Grammy Awards for 2013’s “El Camino.”

The stage was warmed up by another two-piece, The Heavy Heavy, a U.K. band made up of Georgie Fuller and William Turner. They group has opened for the Black Pumas and Band of Horses, performing throwbacks to 60s rock and drawing comparisons to Jefferson Airplane, The Band, and The Mamas & The Papas. Fuller and Turner came out 30 minutes

Below are photos from Tom Dorgan of MoonFrog Media from both duos.
