PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Low pressure has moved well off to the northeast, and high pressure is building in. Expect clear skies tonight with a low near 48.

Winds have shifted and are coming from the south, which will help us warm considerably for Monday with highs near 80 Monday afternoon dropping to 62 Monday night.

A weak, dry cold front is expected for late Monday night or early Tuesday morning and there will be a few clouds Tuesday morning, but those will quickly burn off and Tuesday afternoon should be sunny.

Highs Tuesday will be back to around 68 and winds will be picking up 10-20 mph with gusts possibly reaching over 30 mph Tuesday afternoon.

Wednesday will be another clear, cool, and gusty day with winds that could top 35 mph. Highs on Wednesday will be around 65. You can probably expect a Fire Advisory, and possibly a Burn Ban on Monday, and possibly on Tuesday and Wednesday as well.

Our next best chance for rain looks like Sunday as another cold front is expected to reach the Piedmont by then.
