LANCASTER, S.C. — One person has died after a shooting in Lancaster, police confirmed. A homicide investigation is now underway.
Lancaster Police responded to Clinton Avenue near Ruth Street shortly before 8 p.m. on Wednesday. When they arrived, they found a person who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
His name has not yet been released at this time, as officials work to inform his family.
Police said there weren’t any other injuries reported in relation to the shooting.
No suspects are in custody at this time, and Lancaster Police said the investigation is still considered active.
