GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Guilford County Schools will release an hour early on Tuesday ahead of some potential flurries in the area.
On Tuesday, GCS announced the one-hour early release. The district has canceled after-school activities. ACES programs will dismiss at 4:30 p.m.
GCS has not yet announced any cancelations or delays for Wednesday and plans to evaluate roads overnight.

Due to reports by the National Weather Service for the increased potential for inclement weather, Guilford County Schools will release one hour early today, Tuesday, January 21. After-school activities are canceled and ACES programs will dismiss at 4:30 p.m. GCS staff will evaluate the roads overnight and communicate if there are any changes to the schedule accordingly.
The ribbon cutting at Foust elementary has been postponed.
