GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Guilford County Schools is closing its doors to students on Monday, Jan. 6 due to the effects of winter weather in the Triad.
The school district announced on Monday morning that it will remain closed for the entire day due to the National Weather Service extending its Winter Weather Advisory for the Triad area until 11 a.m.
Frozen roads and icy conditions in northern Guilford County were cited as among the primary concerns.
Staff members are still to report as normal under Emergency Closing Plan A.
