PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — High pressure will continue to pump in cool, dry air across the Piedmont.Â
Temperatures will stay below normal, topping out in the lower-80’s, this afternoon.Â
It’s going to be a terrific day to get outside, with mostly sunny skies through the afternoon.
Mostly clear skies are ahead for the evening hours, so FOX8 Football Frenzy games are in great shape! Temperatures will fall through the mid-70s during game time, then settle to the upper-50s by daybreak on Saturday.
Over the weekend, temperatures return to normal, in the mid-80s under sunny skies.
The new work week is going to take us back to the hot, steamy days of summer! Highs will be near 90° Monday and Tuesday under mostly sunny skies.
As the humidity rises, we’ll have to deal with a heat index, and temperatures will be getting hotter mid-week.Â
Wednesday and Thursday, highs will be in the lower-to mid-90s with heat indices soundly in the mid-90s, and perhaps upper-90s at times.
One notable change to the weather pattern? A 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon.Â
