Governor Stein to unveil first orders in Asheville, expected to focus on Helene recovery

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Governor Josh Stein is set to announce his first executive orders as governor of North Carolina in a trip to western North Carolina on Thursday. 

The new governor is set to speak later today in Asheville. While his office hasn’t said what the orders will be, it indicated the orders will support Helene recovery efforts in the region. 

His announcement is set for just after 1 p.m.
