RURAL HALL, N.C. (WGHP) — Piedmont Natural Gas crews are fixing a leak after a tree collapsed onto a gas line in Rural Hall.
At about 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, PNG crews responded to a gas leak near Westinghouse Road and Tobaccoville Road in Rural Hall. Crews say the leak was caused by a fallen tree.
At the scene, crews were able to identify the source of the leak. Gas was shut off at about 12:30 p.m., allowing crews to begin repairs.
Piedmont Natural Gas says crews worked with local emergency responders to secure the scene.Â
No injuries were reported.
