(WGHP) — Following a sunny and cold day, temperatures will remain frigid this evening with skies will also remain clear into the overnight. Many will fall below freezing by 8 p.m. Thanks to the clear skies tonight, we’ll wake up in the upper 10s and low 20s Saturday Morning.

We’ll be entering a warming trend throughout the weekend, however, Saturday will still be well below normal for late February. We’ll reach the upper 30s by lunchtime with highs in the mid 40s. While we’ll start Saturday off with sunshine, clouds will move in for the afternoon, leaving us with mostly cloudy skies by early evening. The clouds don’t stick around long and we’ll be back to sunshine for the end of the weekend.

Sunday morning starts in the upper 20s and afternoon highs warm into the mid 50s, returning us to near-normal highs for February. Skies will be sunny with a light southwest wind.

Mostly sunny skies on Monday with morning lows in the low 30s and afternoon highs reaching the low 60s. The warming trend continues into Tuesday with morning temperatures in the upper 30s and highs in the mid 60s.

Mostly sunny skies and warmer weather continue for mid-week with Wednesday morning starting in the upper 30s and highs in the mid 60s.

A few clouds return to the sky by late week with temperatures on Thursday in the low 40s for the morning and highs reaching the low 60s. A cold front looks to push through the area which could bring some low rain chances for late week. The chance for rain Thursday is 30%.

Partly cloudy skies and slightly cooler on Friday with morning lows in the mid 30s and highs in the low to mid 50s. The chance for rain is 20%.
