Expect warm, muggy weekend in Piedmont Triad

(WGHP) — The weekend will begin warm and muggy, but it will end with cool and comfortable conditions.

Saturday will be a muggy day with above average temperatures. A cold front moving across the state could bring us a few afternoon or evening thunderstorms. Saturday will not be a washout but be on the lookout for a few showers during the day. Saturday morning temperatures will be in the lower 60s with highs around 80 degrees. Chance of rain 40%.

Behind the cold front, Sunday will be a comfortable day. Mostly to partly sunny skies on Sunday with lows in the lower 50s and highs in the lower 70s. Our humidity levels will be much lower on Sunday.

Monday morning temperatures will be below normal with numbers in the upper 40s. Under mostly sunny skies, our highs will be in the middle 70s, which is normal for this time of the year.

Tuesday morning lows will be in the middle 50s with above average high temperatures. Tuesday afternoon will be mostly to partly sunny with highs in the lower 80s.

The warmup continues into Wednesday with lows in the middle 60s and highs in the upper 80s. Chance of rain 30%.

Thursday and Friday, a cold front will bring extra clouds. With additional clouds our highs will be in the low to middle 80s. Our cold front will also increase our rain chance to 40% by Friday.
