Expect warm, muggy Thursday in Piedmont Triad

(WGHP) — Our upper-level low-pressure system is finally moving away, giving us a break from the rain.

Under partly sunny skies, Thursday will be warm and muggy with lows in the lower 60s and highs in the middle 80s. We could still have an isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorm. Chance of rain 20%.

Friday will be a very warm and humid day with highs in the upper 80s. Factor in the humidity, our heat index or feels like temperature could be in the lower 90s. So, take breaks and drink lots of water. Chance of rain 20%.

A cold front will bring us a slightly better chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms on Saturday. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid to upper 80s. Chance of rain 30%.

Sunday will be a slightly cooler and less humid day. Under partly sunny skies, highs will be in the low to middle 80s.

Partly sunny skies on Monday with lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s and highs in the low to middle 80s.

Tuesday, partly sunny with lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s and highs in the lower 80s.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will return to the forecast on Wednesday with lows in the low to middle 60s and highs in the lower 80s. Chance of rain 40%.
