Expect temperature swings in Piedmont Triad

(WGHP) — The Piedmont Triad forecast will feature a lot of temperature swings.

Friday will be sunny and very cold with lows in the upper teens. Factor in a northwesterly wind, it will feel like temperatures are between 10 and 15 degrees. So, dress in layers on Friday morning. Lots of sun during the day with highs near 40 degrees. A northwesterly wind will make it feels like temperatures are in the lower 30s. In other words, Friday will be a very cold day.

Sunny on Saturday with lows in the upper teens. It’s going to be a chilly day for the Greensboro and Winston-Salem Holiday Parade with temperatures in the 40s. Officially, our highs will be in the middle 40s.

Sunday will be a warmer day. Our skies will be mostly to partly sunny with lows in the middle 20s and highs in the mid to upper 50s.

A slow-moving cold front will begin to push clouds and scattered showers into the Piedmont on Monday. Highs on Monday will be in the middle 50s. Chance of rain 60%.

Scattered showers will remain in the area on Tuesday with highs in the lower 60s. Chance of rain 60%.

Rain chances continue into Wednesday with highs in the upper 50s. Chance of rain 70%.

The cold front should finally clear the Piedmont on Thursday. Under mostly sunny skies, lows will fall into the upper 20s with highs in the middle 40s.
