Expect sunny, breezy Friday in Piedmont Triad

(WGHP) — The clouds have moved out, and we’re left with some beautiful but breezy conditions this evening. Skies will remain clear with temperatures falling into the low 70s by 8 p.m.

Overnight, skies will continue to remain clear, and with the lower moisture levels, thanks to two back-to-back cold fronts in the last 24 hours, temperatures will fall into the low 50s by Friday morning. Skies will be mostly sunny on Friday with afternoon highs reaching the low 70s. There will still be a bit of a breeze to end the week, but winds won’t be as strong as Thursday, with gusts up to 30 mph possible. 

Partly cloudy skies to kick off Memorial Day weekend. Temperatures will be in the upper 40s Saturday morning with highs reaching the mid 70s. Saturday looks like the best day of the holiday weekend. 

Mostly cloudy skies move in for Sunday with morning lows in the mid 50s and highs reaching the low to mid 70s. We’ll have to watch for isolated showers on Sunday, mainly in the afternoon. The chance for rain is 40%.

Mostly cloudy skies and isolated showers remain possible on Monday and temperatures will be a little cooler as well. We’ll start Memorial Day in the upper 50s and afternoon highs reach the low 70s. The chance for rain is 40%. 

Better rain chances arrive on Tuesday with temperatures similar to Monday. We’ll wake up Tuesday morning with temperatures in the upper 50s and afternoon highs will reach the low 70s. Scattered showers with embedded thunderstorms are possible through the day. The chance for rain is 60%. 

A mix of sun and clouds on Wednesday and Thursday with morning lows in the upper 50s and low 60s. Afternoon highs reach the mid 70s and stray showers can’t be ruled out both days. The chance for rain on Wednesday and Thursday is 30%.
