(WGHP0 — Most of the rain and thicker cloud cover today has remained to our south. High clouds mixed with sunshine remain this evening with temperatures falling into the low 70s by 8 p.m. While a stray shower can’t be ruled out, it looks like the majority of us will remain dry.Â
We’ll see a few more clouds overnight with mostly cloudy skies to start the morning on Thursday. Temperatures will be in the upper 50s Thursday morning and will climb to the mid 70s by the afternoon. While we’ll start the day with mostly cloudy skies, partly cloudy skies will take over for the remainder of the day. Stray showers can’t be ruled out on Thursday, but most of us look to remain dry for our Friday-eve. The chance of rain on Thursday is 30%.Â
Mostly cloudy skies return Thursday night into early Friday morning with partly cloudy skies to end the work week. Rain and storm chances increase slightly on Friday with a 40% chance for isolated to scattered rain and storms. Temperatures begin in the low 60s Friday morning and reach the upper 70s by the afternoon.
Scattered showers and storms will be possible on Saturday with partly cloudy skies. The chance for rain/storms to kick off the weekend is 50%. Temperatures will start in the low to mid 60s Saturday morning and afternoon highs reach the low 80s. Saturday’s storm chances will be brought by a cold front pushing through the area. Once the front is through, we’ll see a slight cool down for the second half of the weekend.
Mostly sunny skies return on Sunday with morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs on Sunday reach the low 70s.
After a brief cool down for the second half of the weekend, temperatures will gradually climb into the middle of next week. Monday starts off in the upper 40s and afternoon highs reach the mid 70s. Skies remain mostly sunny to start the week.
We’ll hold on to mostly sunny skies on Tuesday with morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon high temperatures will reach the low 80s. We get even warmer by Wednesday with morning lows in the low 60s and afternoon temperatures reaching the mid 80s. With the warmer temperatures comes a low chance for stray showers. The chance for rain on Wednesday is 20%.Â
