Expect isolated storms this evening in the Piedmont Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — There is a chance for some isolated storms this evening as a mild front sweeps in from the northwest.

Some of those isolated storms could have the potential for some brief heavy rain and damaging winds.

Any storms that do occur should move east by midnight and we will have clearing skies overnight.

A second cold front will move through Monday and could bring another round of isolated storms during the evening.

Once that front passes, we will have cooler temperatures and clear weather for the rest of the week.

Warmer weather is expected by next week. Highs Monday should be in the low 80s with the low Monday night in the mid-60s.

After that, highs for the rest of the week will be in the upper 70s with lows in the upper 50s.
