(WGHP) — An upper-level disturbance will slowly spin across the Piedmont, keeping scattered showers in the forecast.
Friday will be cloudy and with scattered showers. With limited daytime heating, a few thunderstorms could pop up during the afternoon and evening. A stronger thunderstorm will be capable of dropping heavy rain, gusty winds, and small hail. Highs on Friday will be near 60 degrees. Chance of rain 80%.
Saturday morning will be cloudy with lows in the lower 40s. We could see a few leftover showers as well. By Saturday afternoon, our upper low will begin to move away from the Piedmont. As the low pulls away, our clouds will begin to break, allowing a little bit of sun to shine. Under mostly cloudy skies, highs will be around 60 degrees. Chance of rain 20%.
Sunday will be a bright, sunny day with lows in the lower 40s and highs in the middle 60s.
Mostly to partly sunny on Monday with highs in the upper 70s.
A cold front will move across the Piedmont on Tuesday. Cloudy skies in the morning will give way to mostly sunny skies during the day. Highs on Tuesday will be in the low to middle 70s.
Sunny and cooler on Wednesday with highs in the middle 60s.
Thursday will be a little warmer. Under partly sunny skies, our highs will be in the upper 60s.
