Expect breezy, warm weekend in Piedmont Triad

(WGHP) — Breezy conditions return to the Piedmont

Look for a mix of clouds and sun on Friday. A warm southwest wind will push our highs into the upper 70s. At times, we could see wind gusts between 20 and 25 mph. Dry air will remain in place, so our wildfire danger will continue. Remember, there is a statewide burn ban.

Mostly cloudy, still warm and breezy on Saturday with highs in the upper 70s. We could see wind gusts between 20 and 25 mph. The good news about Saturday is that our humidity will begin to increase. Still, outdoor burning is strongly discouraged.

Our south to southwesterly winds will finally bring in enough moisture for scattered showers on Sunday. Highs on Sunday will be in the low to middle 70s. Chance of rain 50%. Skies will be cloudy.

Monday, a cold front will bring us a good chance for showers and thunderstorms. Highs on Monday will be in the mid to upper 70s. Chance of rain 70%.

Behind the cold front, Tuesday will be a cooler day. Under partly sunny skies, lows will be around 50 degrees and highs in the upper 60s. Chance of rain 20%.

Wednesday, mostly cloudy with lows in the middle 40s and highs in the upper 60s. Chance of rain 25%.

Mostly cloudy skies on Thursday with lows in the middle 50s and highs in the upper 70s. Chance of rain 25%.
