PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — We’re ending our Saturday with cloudy skies but it won’t be for much longer. Clouds will move out this evening leaving us with mostly clear skies overnight. Temperatures fall into the 30s by 9 p.m.
We’ll start Sunday morning in the upper 20s, nearly 10 degrees warmer than we’ve been the last couple of mornings! And, our afternoon warming trend continues. We’ll reach the low 50s on Sunday with sunny skies. A great afternoon to get outside for a walk.
Sunshine remains into the start of the work week with morning temperatures in the low 30s Monday morning and afternoon highs reaching the upper 50s.
We’re finally back to above-normal temperatures by Tuesday with a beautiful, spring-like day in store. We’ll start the morning in the mid 30s and highs reach the upper 60s with mostly sunny skies. If you’ve been wanting to get out to the golf course, Tuesday’s a great day for it.
Wednesday remains similar to Tuesday with morning lows in the low 40s and highs reaching the mid-60s. Skies remain mostly sunny and a light southwest wind continues to contribute to our warmer weather.
Clouds return on Thursday with our next cold front. We’ll start the day in the mid-40s with afternoon highs in the low-60s. Skies will be mostly cloudy and scattered showers will return with the cold front. The chance for rain on Thursday is 40%.
Behind Thursday’s cold front, temperatures will drop slightly. We’ll start Friday in the upper 30s with afternoon highs reaching the mid-50s. Skies will be partly cloudy with a slight breeze out of the northwest.
Skies remain partly cloudy into Saturday with morning lows in the mid-30s and afternoon highs returning to the low 60s.
