Expect a partly cloudy, warm day in the Piedmont Triad

(WGHP) — There may be some fog this morning, especially in our western counties, where heavier rain fell yesterday.

Other than that, the skies are mostly clear to start the day. We are expecting cloudier conditions to return for the late morning, then a return to partly cloudy skies this afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 70s and rain chances will hover around 20%. Clouds build up overnight with lows in the upper 50s.

We will have a better chance of showers tomorrow, 30%, as a cold front stalls out to our south.  Highs will be in the mid-70s.

Friday brings clouds and isolated showers or thunderstorms. The chance of rain is 25% and highs will be in the upper 70s.

We will have showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon as a cold front marches across the Carolinas. The chance of rain is 40% and highs will be near 80. High pressure takes over for the second half of the weekend, bringing mostly sunny skies and highs in the lower 70s on Sunday.

Temperatures will steadily warm up as the work week begins. We will be able to enjoy mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with highs in the mid-70s on Monday and lower 80s on Tuesday.
