(WGHP) — Wow! A taste of spring today.
Highs reached the upper 60s to near 70 in the Piedmont. Not close to a record though. That was 78 back in 1914. Partly Cloudy and chilly tonight, with lows back to around 35.
Tomorrow will start with sun and end up with clouds. A chance for a few showers tomorrow late in the west and over the Triad and points north during the evening. Highs around 58. Tomorrow night, a chance for showers mainly early and again very late. Lows around 44.
Friday is the day the main system moves our way. Rain chances will increase during the day, peaking in the late afternoon to evening hours, through about 10 p.m. Highs around 61. Clearing Friday night with a low at 42.
The weekend looks great. Mostly Sunny on Saturday and Partly Cloudy on Sunday. Highs from the upper 50s on Saturday to the lower 50s on Sunday. Lows back to the mid-30s on Sunday morning.
The Nascar Chase in Winston-Salem will be partly cloudy with temperatures falling back to the 40s during the evening Sunday.
Early next week looks Sunny and pleasant. 67 on Monday and 64 on Tuesday. Mostly Cloudy on Wednesday with a high of 59. Lows in the lower 40s early next week.
