Enjoy more summer-like conditions in the Piedmont Triad

(WGHP) — Summer-like weather will keep the Piedmont warm and muggy.

Friday morning will be cloudy, muggy, and very mild with temperatures in the low to mid-60s. We will see some breaks in the overcast during the day on Friday with highs climbing into the mid-80s. Heat and humidity will give us a chance for some isolated evening showers and thunderstorms. Overall, our rain chances are under 20%. The record high for Friday is 86 degrees.

Saturday morning will be cloudy and warm with lows in the mid-60s. Saturday afternoon, look for partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 80s. The record high for Saturday is 87 degrees.

A slow-moving cold front will crawl across the Piedmont on Sunday. Rain, even a thunderstorm, is likely with highs in the lower 80s. Chance of rain 80%.

The front will linger across eastern North Carolina on Monday. This will keep rain in the Piedmont forecast. Highs on Monday will be in the upper 60s. Chance of rain 50%.

The cold front will finally clear North Carolina on Tuesday. Our skies will be mostly sunny with lows in the lower 40s and highs in the upper 50s.

Wednesday morning will be clear and cold with lows around freezing.  Under sunny skies, our highs on Wednesday will be around 60 degrees.

Thursday, partly sunny with lows in the mid to upper 30s and highs in the lower 60s.
