Police said they received a report alleging that there was misconduct involving the Theatre of the Arts teacher at Morehead High School.
EDEN, N.C. — A teacher is facing indecent liberties charges in Eden.
Eden police said they received a report Wednesday alleging that there was misconduct involving the Theatre of the Arts teacher at Morehead High School and at least one student.
After an investigation and consulting with the Rockingham County District Attorney’s Office, officers secured warrants on 24-Year old Jesse Michael Morris for the following:
• 1 Count of Indecent Liberties with a Child (Felony)
• 1 Count of Taking Indecent Liberties with a Student by a Teacher (Felony)
Morris was taken to the Rockingham County Magistrates Office where he received a $75,000 secured bond.
He is set to appear in Rockingham County District Court on August 29.
The investigation is ongoing.
