KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — One person has died after a shooting in Kannapolis on Monday, according to the Kannapolis Police Department.
It happened around 6 p.m. on Jan. 6. Officers responded to the scene on Pine Hill Street and found a man who had been shot.
The victim has since been identified as 28-year-old Khari Keem Wilkes. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died due to his injuries.
Kannapolis Police are now searching for two men who police believe ran away from the scene.
