WILMINGTON — On tour in support of their latest album “Everything Must Go,” Goose appeared before a sold-out crowd in downtown Wilmington this week.

Blues-tinged and indie-rock riffs smashed between dance grooves and kept the crowds engaged as the Connecticut-based band performed for three hours.

“The highlight of the first set for me was the last three songs,” according to photographer Tom Dorgan with MoonFrog Media.

The band played “All I Need” into “Borne” into “Give it Time.”

“The second set had some great jams and the band released a video of the second song A Western Sky,’” Dorgan added.

Earlier in the day, Goose — consisting of Rick Mitarotonda, Trevor Weeks, Peter Anspach, and Cotter Ellis — also did an all-acoustic performance at Live at Ted’s. They played three songs and conducted interviews with Kim Swinny of The Penguin 98.3 (Port City Daily’s sister company); it will be uploaded here upon edits being completed.

The band has skyrocketed in popularity in the last few years and have a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden on June 28.

Following in the footsteps of another famous jamband — a la Phish Food from Ben and Jerry’s — Goose is pairing up on its own ice cream release. With Jeni’s Ice Cream, they’re releasing Goose Tracks, a blackberry and raspberry ice cream with bittersweet chocolate chips.
