Cold front coming through Piedmont Triad

(WGHP) — A cold front is going to come through the area before lunch tomorrow and bring drier weather back for the weekend.

We will actually start drying a little earlier. We have an area of rain over the Piedmont this afternoon that will shift out of the area this evening, and our showers going forward will only be isolated. Lows tonight will be 70.

Tomorrow, we will still have a mostly cloudy sky with about 75% cloud cover with some peaks of the sun. There is a 35% chance of a shower. Highs will be around 82. It will be mostly cloudy tomorrow night with a low of 68.

Over the weekend, it will be partly cloudy and 84 on Saturday. It will be mostly sunny and 86 on Sunday. Lows will be in the mid to upper 60s.

Next week starts out nice on Monday. It will be partly Cloudy with a 25% chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be around 86.

Our chance of a shower or thunderstorm is highest on Tuesday and Wednesday at 40%. Still, more than half will stay dry, and for those who get rain, it will average 10 to 15 minutes. Highs will be 85 to 87, and lows will be near 70.

Thursday will be partly cloudy with a 30% chance and a high back to near 90.

The Tropics remain very quiet.
