Chilly weekend expected in the Piedmont Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A strong cold front will drop our temperatures into the teens by Monday morning.

Friday will be mostly cloudy with highs around 50 degrees. The Piedmont could see a few afternoon and evening showers while the mountains will see snow.

We will be behind the cold front on Saturday, so look for sunny skies with highs in the lower 40s.

Our temperatures will continue to drop on Sunday. Sunny skies during the day with lows around 20 degrees and highs in the upper 30s.

Another sunny and cold day on Monday with lows in the upper teens and highs in the upper 30s.

Christmas Eve Tuesday, partly sunny with lows in the lower 20s and highs in the middle 40s.

Christmas Day Wednesday, mostly cloudy with lows in the lower 30s and highs in the lower 50s.  Chance of rain 25%.

Thursday, cloudy skies with lows in the middle 30s and highs in the lower 50s. Chance of rain 30%.
