Chances to see some rain as the work week winds down in the Triad

(WGHP) — It’s going to be a cloudy day, but temperatures will remain mild, if not a bit warm. 

There is a 25% chance of rain today, mainly in our western counties along and west of I-77. Highs will be in the mid-70s.

Overnight, we will have cloudy skies with a continuing chance of showers. Lows will return to the lower 60s.

Rain chances increase Friday and Friday night, and we are expecting up to 1/2″ of rain over this period. Highs will be in the mid-70s.

Scattered, lighter showers are expected Saturday ahead of a cold front that will work its way across the state.  Temperatures will be warming up to near 80 on Saturday afternoon.  Behind the front, high temperatures drop to the lower 70s on Sunday with mostly sunny skies.  

The cooldown is temporary. As the new work week begins, highs will be increasing dramatically.  Monday, we’ll be in the upper 70s and Tuesday and Wednesday, we will warm to the mid- to upper 80s! The weather remains dry on Monday and Tuesday,
