CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WGHP) — A season that got off to a start that seemingly could not be more disastrous has gotten more disastrous.
NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reports that the Panthers’ star defensive lineman Derrick Brown suffered a “potentially season-ending knee injury” during their 47-10 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
Brown suffered a meniscus injury that will require him to have surgery that could possibly sideline him for the rest of the year.

Brown, 26, signed a four-year-$96 million contract extension in April and set the record for most tackles by a defensive tackle in NFL history during the 2023 season with 103 tackles.
