Burlington police investigating arson

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police are investigating an arson in Burlington.

Burlington police along with the Burlington Fire Department responded to the Stop and Shop at 501 Trollinger Street on August 17 around 10:30 p.m. in response to a fire.

After initial investigation, police determined the fire had been intentionally set.

Officers said the building is reported as a total loss.

The investigation is ongoing.
