WILMINGTON — Big Dawg Productions returns for its 30th year with new shows beginning in February.
The season will begin Feb. 13 with “Parallel Lives,” a comedy created by Mo Gaffney and Kathy Najimy. Described as “a hilariously irreverent romp through the quirks of human existence,” the play focuses on the parallel experiences of men and women in everyday scenarios with a comedic approach. Showtimes are available Thursday to Sunday up to Feb. 23.
The following weekend, “Unreconciled,” created by Jay Sefton and Wilmington local Mark Basquill, will debut for one weekend only starting on Feb. 27. The play, based on a true story, recounts the experience of a boy and his journey to reconciliation as an abuse survivor who is cast as Jesus in a school play. The production, which has won multiple awards, will have showtimes available Thursday through Sunday through March 3.
Performances will be held in the Ruth & Bucky Studio Theatre at Thalian Hall at 310 Chestnut St. Showtimes are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays at 3 p.m.
