(WGHP) — After a beautiful and warm day in the Triad, partly cloudy skies will remain into the evening with temperatures falling into the low 70s by 8 p.m.
Overnight, skies will remain partly cloudy, and temperatures will fall into the low 50s by Thursday morning. While we’ll start Thursday with a mix of sun and clouds, mostly cloudy skies will take over into the mid-morning and afternoon hours with scattered showers as a cold front moves through the region. Afternoon highs will reach the mid-60s ahead of the front but it’ll be an overall cooler day due to the increased clouds and scattered rain chances. The chance for rain is 50%.
The sunshine returns on Friday and thanks to Thursday’s cold front, our temperatures will also return to seasonable for late March. We’ll start Friday morning in the mid 30s and afternoon highs reach the low 60s with mostly sunny skies. Winds will be a little breezy out of the northwest at 10 to 15 mph.
We’ll warm right back up into Saturday with morning lows in the upper 30s and afternoon highs reaching the upper 60s. Skies will be sunny to start the weekend and winds will be breezy as well out of the west-southwest at 10 to 20 mph.
A mix of sun and clouds on Sunday with morning lows in the low 40s and highs reaching the upper 60s. Southwest winds will be much lighter on Sunday compared to Saturday.
Another chance for rain returns to the forecast on Monday with mostly cloudy skies. We’ll start the morning in the low to mid-50s and afternoon highs reach the mid-60s. Monday’s rain chance is associated with another cold front which may bring scattered showers. The chance for rain is 40%.
Partly cloudy skies both Tuesday and Wednesday and temperatures will also be slightly cooler thanks to Monday’s cold front. We’ll start both mornings in the low 40s and afternoon highs reach the low 60s.
