WILMINGTON — The Wilson Center has announced to shows that will entertain audiences this fall — “Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert” and “MasterChef All-Stars Live!”
Since the Nickelodeon animated series debuted in 2005, “Avatar: The Last Airbender” has become a fixture with fans around the world, spawning a universe of popular characters, spinoff series, books, films, and a live orchestra tour, “Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert.” The tour marks the 20th anniversary of the show with live orchestral performances of the series’ beloved soundtrack. The show features a two-hour visual journey through all three seasons of the series, projected on a full-size cinema screen with new elements and artistic surprises.
“When I started work on ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender,’ it was a dream to have the music performed by an orchestra,” said Jeremy Zuckerman, the creative mastermind behind the show’s original music. “Now, over 20 years later, with the concert tour, that dream has come true in a way I never could have imagined. I’m elated that more people will continue to share in it.”
The show will take place Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale to Wilson Center members on Wednesday April 30 at 10 a.m. and to the general public on May 2 at 10 a.m.
