Ask & Answer | What parents need to know about additional funding approved for students waitlisted for vouchers

The North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority (NCSEAA) is the agency that administers the Opportunity Scholarship and ESA+ Programs on behalf of the state.

Additional funding for the Opportunity Scholarship and ESA+ Programs is now available, according to NCSEAA.

During the first week of December, NCSEAA will begin awarding eligible students, not previously awarded, whose applications were received during the priority period from Feb. 1-March 1, 2024.

NCSEAA provided this information to EdNC to answer questions from parents on the waitlist.

NCSEAA will be launching new websites in Jan. 2025, including sections for families.
