A gorgeous, sunny Thursday in the Triad with highs in the 80s

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — An absolutely gorgeous day ahead with temperatures in the low to mid-60s out the door.

While a few may see some patchy fog during the early morning hours, most will not — mostly sunny skies with afternoon temperatures reaching the mid-80s. 

A mix of sun and clouds Friday with temperatures in the upper 60s out the door. Afternoon highs will reach the mid-80s.

Spotty showers will be possible in the mountains and foothills Friday with increasing rain chances into Friday evening for the Piedmont Triad.

For now, the chance for rain is 20% however that number will increase into Friday evening. 

Partly cloudy skies this weekend with morning temperatures on both days in the upper 60s and low 70s. High temperatures reach the mid to upper 80s.

Widely scattered showers and storms will be possible both Saturday and Sunday so be sure to pay attention to the weather if you have outdoor plans. 

For those heading to the beach this weekend, the rip current risk will be high and rough surf is likely due to Hurricane Ernesto, which will be moving northward hundreds of miles off the coast in the Atlantic. 

Mostly sunny skies return Monday with temperatures in the upper 60s in the morning. Afternoon temperatures will reach the mid-80s and isolated showers/storms will be possible. The chance for rain is 20%. 

Mostly sunny skies and beautiful weather continue into Tuesday and Wednesday with morning temperatures in the mid-60s and afternoon highs in the mid-80s.
