$25,000 offered for info on Guilford County woman missing since 2008

Venus Shawn Rose was 32 when she was last seen on May 19, 2008.

HIGH POINT, N.C. — State officials are offering a $25,000 reward for information helping lead to an arrest in the case of a Guilford County woman who went missing in 2008.

Venus Shawn Rose, 32, was last seen on May 19, 2018 but was not reported missing until December of that year by her mother.

According to the High Point Police Department, information brought forward in February 2021 caused them to believe Rose was the victim of foul play. The case is being investigated as a likely homicide.
