Teen shot outside McDonald's in Rock Hill

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police are searching for a suspect after a teen was shot in the head at a McDonald’s on Sunday.

The shooting happened outside the McDonald’s on South Cerry Road around 6:30 p.m., according to the Rock Hill Police Department. Police say an 18-year-old man was shot in the head at the scene. He is on life-sustaining medical care, according to police. Medical officials are awaiting further observations before pronouncing him dead.

Investigators say the victim was speaking to people in a parked gray midsize SUV outside the McDonald’s and was shot by someone inside the SUV. The suspects left the area after the shooting. 

The Rock Hill Police Department is continuing to investigate. The victim’s name has not been released. No other information is available at this time.
