Detectives determined Herring lured victims into his home on Kippling Court, claiming he was gathering hours in his studies to become a certified massage therapist. Allegedly, he told the victims they would receive free massages and then videotaped females without their consent.

However, according to NHCSO, Herring was never enrolled in a program or classes.

The sheriff’s office began investigating the case after victims came forward. It remains open, so law enforcement can understand the extent of Herring’s violations.

The department asks anyone with additional information or who may have received services from Herring to come forward. Detective Sergeant S. Moore can be reached by calling (910) 798-4420 or by emailing shmoore@nhcgov.com.
