HARRELLS, N.C. (WNCN) — Damage was reported in Sampson County following Wednesday afternoon’s confirmed tornado, Sampson County Sheriff Jimmy Thornton said.
The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado at 2:19 p.m. Debris was also confirmed by TDS (Tornado Debris Signature) on KRAX (Raleigh NWS Radar).
According to NWS, the below video was captured by Noah Huffer of Pender County EMS & Fire as the tornado touched down.
Two homes have been damaged based on reports so far.
A CBS 17 crew on the scene saw damage to trees and a couple of buildings in the 1400 block of Bland School Road near Harrells.
County and emergency service crews have arrived on scene and have said there are no injuries reported as of 3: 45 p.m.

The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a tornado warning for part of Sampson County Wednesday afternoon.
According to NWS Raleigh, the warning is in effect for southeastern Sampson County until 2:30 p.m.
Forecasters say a “severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado” is near Harrells, nine miles southwest of Wallace and moving at 55 miles per hour. According to NWS Raleigh, there is “radar-indicated rotation.”
Areas affected by the possibly tornado-producing thunderstorm include Harrells and Garland.
Those in the affected area should take cover immediately and if possible, move to a basement or interior room on the lowest floor of a “sturdy” building. Those who are outdoors, in a vehicle or in a mobile home should try to find shelter and protect themselves from flying debris.
