CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A pharmacy in Uptown Charlotte is closing its doors for good.

The CVS Pharmacy location at 610 S. Caldwell St. will close on June 24. That’s near the intersection of South Boulevard and East Brooklyn Village Avenue.

Customers with prescription records at this location are being notified about automatic prescription record transfers to another CVS location.

Research published in Health Affairs in late 2024 showed nearly three out of 10 U.S. drugstores that were open during the previous decade had closed by 2021.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
