Police found two people with gunshot wounds in the road and two others at a nearby home.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Four people were shot in east Charlotte on Friday night and one of those people has died, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department
It happened in the 3500 block of Shamrock Drive just after 11:30 p.m..
Officers discovered four victims with gunshot wounds after responding to an ‘assault with a deadly weapon’ call.
Two people were found in the roadway with life-threatening injuries and were sent to the hospital for treatment. Police then found two additional victims with life-threatening injuries at a nearby home.
Medic pronounced one of those victims dead on the scene.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing. CMPD said it will release more information once it is available.
