GREENBACK, Tenn. — Many people across eastern Tennessee and North Carolina woke up on Saturday to the effects of a 4.1 magnitude earthquake.
The earthquake originated in the Greenback area of Tennessee, but residents as far as Charlotte, North Carolina reported feeling the ground shake.
It happened at 9:04 a.m. and registered as being 4.1, according to USGS.
WCNC Charlotte received calls from viewers who reported feeling it in South Park, Quail Hollow, west Charlotte, Lincoln County and other areas.
