WILMINGTON — The concert season in Wilmington officially launched a little more than 10 days ago at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater with Judah and the Lion. Photographer Tom Dorgan with MoonFrog Media has captured scenes from the show, along with others in the early days of the 2025 season.

“It was a fun show to kick things off with,” Dorgan said, noting the duo — Judah Akers and Brian Macdonald, along with their touring band — opened by performing their first song from the audience.

Dorgan also captured scenes of Clay Street Unit, Marcus King Band and Dogpark, and on Easter Sunday, Keller Williams’ Grateful Gospel — a “bring ya to church” concert in honor of the Dead.

Greenfield Lake’s outdoor venue becomes energized each spring, once people begin filling its seats to catch their favorite musicians playing, surrounded by the swaying of cypress and pine trees, croaking of frogs, chirping of birds, and meandering of gators in the lake. New this year to the amphitheater is the roughly 400-square-foot VIP deck, open now, and soon-to-be-completed rec area with additional lounge seating and games to partake in ahead of the shows.

Below are Dorgan’s photos from concerts so far this year.
