(WGHP) — A chilly start this morning with temperatures ranging from the low 40s to the low 50s. While you’ll want a light jacket this morning, you definitely won’t need it this afternoon.
We’ll see plenty of sunshine today with afternoon highs reaching the low 80s. Winds will be gusty again today with gusts up to 30 mph possible by the afternoon. Fire danger remains a concern today, so be incredibly careful with cigarette disposal and any outdoor burning (or refrain from outdoor burning today).Â
We’ll start Saturday in the low 60s, and afternoon highs climb into the mid-80s. Skies will be partly cloudy but overall, a warm and beautiful start to the weekend. Southwest winds will be a little breezy at 5 to 15 mph.Â
More clouds roll in for Easter Sunday with mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures will be in the low to mid-60s for those heading to an Easter sunrise service. Afternoon highs climb into the mid-80s.Â
We’ll be watching a low-pressure system arrive from the west next week that could bring a few chances for showers throughout the week. On Monday, temperatures will start in the low 60s and afternoon highs will reach the low to mid 80s with partly cloudy skies. Stray showers will be possible as the low-pressure system nears the Triad. The chance for rain is 20%.Â
