High pressure keeps our skies mostly sunny today, with highs in the lower-60s. Tonight, there is a Frost Advisory from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. for Central North Carolina since temperatures are expected to dip into the mid-30s overnight.
More sunshine is on the way for Thursday, boosting temperatures into the mid-60s. Even warmer weather arrives Friday and Saturday as highs soar into the upper-70s! The work week ends with partly cloudy skies Friday afternoon, then cloudier conditions are on the way for Saturday. Â
An approaching storm system is forecast to bring an 80% chance of rain on Sunday. Monday, as the cold front crosses the state, thunderstorms will be more common. Some of these storms could be strong to severe on Monday afternoon. Highs will be slightly cooler, in the mid-70s, on both days. Â
More seasonable, calmer weather is on the way Tuesday. Highs will return to the mid-60s with partly cloudy skies.
