PARIS, France — A powerhouse in the pool, Katie Ledecky won her first gold medal at just 15 years old in her Olympic debut at the London Games in 2012.Â
Since then, she’s steadily added to her Olympic medal total and is eyeing even more gold in Paris.Â

The U.S. star picked up the 11th medal of her Olympic career during the 400-meter freestyle on Saturday in Paris and 12th medal with the gold in the women’s 1,500-meter freestyle final. Her 13th came Thursday when the United States women’s 4×200-meter relay team took silver. It’s the most of any American woman swimmer ever.
