PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — We have a couple of beautiful, sunny days ahead!
Today, grab a jacket for the morning drive because temperatures are quite chilly.
No worries, we will have clear, sunny skies today and that will push high temperatures into the lower-70s. The UV index today is 7, and pollen counts remain in the HIGH category for tree pollen.

Mostly clear skies are expected tonight with lows in the lower-40s.
Near-record warmth is in the forecast for Wednesday! We will have a sunny start to the day, then some scattered clouds in the afternoon. Still, highs will approach 80°. (The record high for tomorrow is 85°, set in 1927.)
A cold front will arrive Thursday morning, bringing a 70% chance of rain to the Piedmont. While most communities will have some rain Thursday, projected amounts will stay at or below 1/10″. Highs will be in the mid-60s.

We end the work week with breezy, dry weather. Enjoy mostly sunny skies Friday with highs in the lower-60s.
Another cold front will sweep across the Piedmont this weekend, but there are very few effects expected from it. Saturday will be partly cloudy, and Sunday will be mostly sunny. On both days, highs will return to nearly 70°.

By Monday, we will have a more organized storm system working its way across the eastern half of the U.S. It will push showers into the Carolinas, lowering our high temperatures to the mid-60s. The chance of rain is 50%.
