Warmer temperatures continue in the Piedmont Triad next week

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Plenty of sunshine with a warmer afternoon in the Triad will lead to a clear night with temperatures falling into the 40s for the evening hours. We’ll hold on to clear skies overnight.

Monday morning starts in the low 30s and afternoon highs continue the warming trend, reaching the upper 50s. Skies remain sunny with a light southwest wind.

Our quiet and warmer weather trend continues into Tuesday and Wednesday with mostly sunny skies. Tuesday morning starts in the mid-30s with highs in the upper 60s, nearly 10 degrees above normal for late February. Wednesday morning lows will be in the upper 30s with highs reaching the mid-60s.

Our next cold front arrives on Thursday with rain chances. Scattered showers are possible ahead of the front with morning lows in the mid-40s and afternoon highs in the mid 60s. Skies will be mostly cloudy. The chance for rain is 50%.

Behind Thursday’s front, temperatures will drop briefly with morning lows in the upper 30s and highs in the mid-50s. Skies will be mostly sunny.

We’ll see almost a “see-saw” temperature trend from Thursday through Sunday as temperatures fluctuate back and forth between the 60s and 50s. Partly cloudy skies return Saturday with morning lows in the mid-30s and highs reaching the low 60s. But, on Sunday temperatures start in the low 40s with highs reaching the mid-50s. There’s also a 20% chance for isolated showers on Sunday.
